This project was basically complex theme hacking. I hate theme hacking because I have to deal with all the bugs/nuances of other people’s work without the benefit of being familiar with the whole codebase. The client didn’t have us build the site originally but they’ve had us do all the updates (not good, I hate some people’s code). This was a re-skin of the existing site. Coding on shopify isn’t easy, particularly with version control, but we setup a repo in git and use Ruby to push to the Shopify api when a file changes. They include a couple sites built in Magento, a couple built in Drupal, one built in dream weaver, and a couple more in strait HTML and CSS. He expertly walked us through our dashboard making precise recommendations that helped us launch a successful campaign.
