PHP Related Projects

PHP is the most widely used scripting language in the world. This means that PHP developers are more affordable and free PHP software is more plentiful. Although our passion is JavaScript and we're moving towards writing all our projects in it, we still use PHP to build a variaty of web assets.

The following projects are all related to PHP:

Web App Re-build | TrackingFirst

8/24/18

We’ve been working with TrackingFirst for some time now, fixing bugs and stabilizing their system. We inherited the code base originally and we helped them get from where they were to a place where they could actually raise 4 million in venture capital funding. About 10 months ago, the in-house team decided it was time Read More >>

Web App | Defend Your Money

5/31/18

We just finished the first phase (design) with a new client and I’m very happy with the results. We started with just an idea and a prototype build by the client in Google Sheets. We took that concept and built out what will be the future functionality of the site in comps and graphics. We Read More >>

Updates/Fixes – Best-Line

5/6/18

This is an ongoing project with a happy client. Although we didn’t write the original code and didn’t do any of the design, we continue to add features and fix bugs. This system is easing the workload from executives by codifying much of the logic and many of the rules needed for custom shade manufacturing. Read More >>

Updates/Fixes – Lift Operator Training Partners

3/25/18

When we inherited this code base, it had a WordPress site intermingled with a CodeIgniter site (called the partner portal). It quickly became apparent that we should separate the two, which we did. We moved the WordPress site to wpEngine and left the partner site on the existing server. We also implemented several new features and Read More >>

Updates/Fixes – TrackingFirst – PHP/JS

2/18/18

I’ve mentioned this project before. We didn’t design or build the original code base but we’ve worked hard to improve it, fix bugs, and add lots of features. In addition to the team members above, we’ve also had help from several other contractors. Not much noteworthy here except for our ability to dig into an Read More >>

Updates/Fixes – Lift Operator Training – WordPress/Codeigniter

6/28/17

This is a site we took over maintenance after it was built. I immediately got the project setup on code version control (GIT) and added the ability to quickly build and run the site locally using Docker. Then I added a couple developers to the project and got going on changes. At this point, we’ve Read More >>

Updates/Fixes – TrackingFirst

5/30/17

I’ve been on this project for almost a year and it is about time I write about it. Up to this point me and my team have mostly been putting out fires and implementing small features. We’re about to move into a new phase where we revamp a lot of the old code. One project Read More >>

Website – PC12 Advantage – WordPress/Angular

4/30/17

We had a short timeline and a set budget. Speaking of budgets, I’m bad at estimating, that is why I only work hourly. I still give my clients estimates if they like and this client made it clear they wanted one and hoped it would be solid. I decided early on to use Angular even Read More >>

There are so few "SEO" companies that actually understand what they're doing. Ben Buie gets it. I'm looking forward to working with him again on our next big project.

I reached out to Buink after finding Ben’s name in a local developer/consultant listing in 2017, and I have to say, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with Buink. Ben consistently understands not just the development task laid in front of him but the business application behind the task. I’ve... never felt more comfortable with a development team than I do with Buink. I truly feel Ben and his team are integral partners in the success of my business.read more

Buink saved my company's bacon at a very critical moment during my company's evolution. With almost no warning we had found ourselves stranded without any dev support, even though we had hundreds of users from big brands every day logging into our application and relying on things to keep working.... We couldn't afford to have system failures, and I was amazed at—and will be forever grateful for—the way the Buink team stepped in and calmly assumed control of the craft. We and our clients were safe in their expert hands from that moment forward. I whole-heartedly recommend the quality of their work and the dedicated and ethical leadership they continually provide.read more

I could not recommend Buink Web Development more highly. Ben and his team have recently developed a budgeting app for me (both web and IOS). I have had the opportunity of working with them for over a year and I am extremely happy with the results. I would say that the biggest plus for me is that... I trust Ben completely. From the very first, Ben has helped me make decisions that were in the best interest of my company. I have never felt like he is taking advantage of me. Ben does his best to keep the whole process very open and upfront. I have really appreciated that.I tell people all the time that I love my developers. And I do. I'm very happy that I chose to use Buink to develop my apps. It was the best business decision I could have made.If you are looking for someone to develop a website or app, I strongly suggest choosing Buink Web Development. They are fantastic!Marilyn Ference, President, Defend Your Money, LLCread more
