Unemployment in web development has been very low and wages have not been stagnant. To make matters worse, Google and other tech giants are literally printing money and inflating salaries.
Good news is that advertising is only a small portion of the dev industry and working at the giants involves mindless, soul sucking work. So, finding your tech lead and other developers isn’t going to be easy, but it is possible. We find good people all the time, but it took us years to hone the process.
