Beautiful Stock Photos

I’m often in search of the perfect picture or graphic for a new site and I’ve compiled a decent list of sources over the years. I’m creating this page to make it easier for me to share these.

I’ve tried to list these options from most expensive to least.

Web Application Development (rebuild) | Heavy Equipment Website

We were tasked with combining several internal web applications into one web application in the cloud. It was a daunting task, but as with any other project, you start breaking off manageable chunks and before you know it, you’re approaching the finish line.

Along the way we added a fresh design to the system and as a result, the final product is very user friendly, pleasing to the eye, and powerfully productive.

Some highlights include combining several databases into one, integrating with an internal database, and integrating with third-party customer relationship management software.

Web Application Development | New Features | Best-Line

We continue to make improvements to this system. The improvements give management more access to data, make factory workers more productive, make office workers more accurate, and improve the overall businesses effectiveness.

This site isn’t much to look at, we’ve done almost no design work, but it is a very powerful site in terms of data, features, and productivity.

WordPress Development | New Features | News Website

Telegraph Local came to me with an existing site and asked if I could help them setup a login wall for advertisers.

I did some research on pre-built solutions that have the following features:

  • Custom user roles
  • Restrict content by role on the front-end
  • Custom login and registration for roles
  • Social logins (not required, but nice to have)

There are a lot of options that offer one or two of these but we settled on RegistrationMagic for one, three, and four and Content Control for two.

Being that we found pre-built software as a solution, that drastically reduced the cost of these features.

We also did a little more work making sure their Ads Pro plugin was working as expected and actually uncovered a couple bugs that we were able to submit to the plugin maker.

Website Maintenance & ADA Compliance | Web Design Agency

We continue to do work for a local agency. We’ve worked on three different sites for them over the past couple months. Some of the work has been maintaining WordPress sites, but the bulk of the work has been getting these sites ADA Compliant.

Website Development | Shopify Website | New Features & Edits | Supplement Website

Websites have never been easier to build without developer help then they are now. This is a good thing, it drastically lowers the cost to get online for a lot of small businesses!

This client had put in the time to build a nice looking Shopify site but ran into some blockers when they tried to customize it. They sought out a developer to handle these customization’s and we were able to help them quite effectively.

Website Development | UIUXPros

This was a site we built for our friends at UIUXPros. They’re a very talented web design firm in Denver and we help them bring their designs to life.

The original goal with this site was to leverage an existing WordPress theme that included a website builder that would allow the client to have full control over the content without needed to reach out to a developer for changes.

After some research we recommended a pre-built theme and they designed using functionality already pre-written.

The end result was a site that was drastically cheaper then the typical re-design without sacrificing quality.

One highlight from this project was our use of Elementor templates which allowed us build the structure of the page using templates that can be saved to the code repository, imported to the staging site for testing, and then deploy to the live site. This allows us to control the code very closely, while still offering the freedom to the user to make changes.

Website Maintenance & Features | Festpass

Web applications require constant maintenance because the internet is constantly evolving and improving. Luckily, when you work a lot with open source packages, most of the improvements and updates are made for free by the community, but it still takes a little time to update to the latest packages.

One highlight from this latest round of updates on this project is how important it is to choose the right language and frameworks.

This project is built in Node with a nosql database. All of this software required updating, but most of the changes needed came for free.

We also added several new features to the system and updated a couple designs.
